First of all, let me point out that we are working on our new record now (about which we are very excited, and dare I say, optimistic).
We are also quite excited to be working with Black Cactus Records now - a group which I think is really on the way to developing a stellar catalogue - one which we are proud to be a part of.
Now onto the regular bio stuff:
----------------------------------
Lisa Savidge is the brainchild Dan Somers: Having been driven somewhat mad following a brief but illustrious career as a government killer (first for the army, later for that which shall not be named), he proceeded to assemble a band of merry musical miscreants (see “The Members”) to prod at the ears and minds of the Vox Populi.
Sonically, Lisa Savidge is a love letter to the music that ushered in the current millennial generation - shoegaze, post punk, and alt-rock - but with a decidedly modern twist. Frequent comparisons include Sonic Youth, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Pixies, Arcade Fire, and My Bloody Valentine.
Since the band’s inception several years ago, Lisa Savidge has become known for intense live performances, socially positive leanings (having raised tens of thousands of dollars for a variety of charities through benefit concerts and donated tracks), and “outreach” efforts (what some may call marketing) that tend to border on the totally insane.
This is, of course, a border we are presently exploring, and hope to breach shortly.
Thank you, and good luck. - Nothing Follows -
